Scripture
"'The Son of Man will
go as it has been
decreed, but woe to that
man who betrays him.'
They began to question
among themselves
which of them it might
be who would do this."

Prayer
Govern all by your
wisdom, O Lord, so that my soul may always be
serving you according to your will, and not as I
desire. Do not punish me, I pray, by granting
what I want and ask, if it offends your love,
which would always live in me. Let me die to
myself, that I may serve you, let me live to
you, who in yourself are the true Life.

At the last supper,
The twelve had with the Lord,
We remember how all,
With one accord,
When told that one
Would Him betray,
Questioned each other
And began to say,
'Lord is it I? Is it I?"
Jesus said, 'He that dippeth
In the dish with me,'
And he was guilty,
As guilty could be,
Already he had bargained,
Our Lord to betray,
And he left the table
And went away
And Judas knew, It is I, It is I.
Judas sold the dear Lord,
For the price of a slave,
His greed for money,
The excuse they gave.
He returned with only
The pretense of bliss,
And betrayed the Master,
With a Judas kiss.
But down in his heart,
If you were to pry, you would hear
Him say, It is I, It is I.
Guilty and fearful,
As he could be,
He went and hanged,
Himself on a tree.
Remorse so great,
The loot he didn't want
To soothe, his conscience,
He gave it a flaunt
At this late hour
Amends he didn't try,
Or even deny, It is I, It is I.
We too can betray,
Our loving Lord,
By deeds we do,
Opposed to His word,
We should seek daily,
To do His will,
Faithfully serve Him,
His wish to fulfill,
Then we need not
This question supply,
Lord is it I? Is it I?
